Jerry Mitsuo HirataJerry Mitsuo Hirata, born June 17, 1952, died on March 4, 2019 of pancreatic cancer. He was a graduate of Waipahu High School, class of 1970, and the University of Hawaii. Before passing, Jerry was the Lead Lender Relations Specialist for the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA.gov). He was very proud and passionate of his work and the many relationships he developed while working with the SBA and Central Pacific Bank, prior. Jerry joins his family in heaven, brother Miles Hirata, dad Hitoshi and mom Jane Meiko. He is survived by sister, Kay Bicoy (Stanley "Mel"), uncles, aunties, nieces, nephews and his many cats. His "Heavenly retirement/ Birthday/Memorial" will be celebrated on Saturday, June 8, 2019 at Mililani Memorial Park, Mauka Chapel. DAVID S. HAZAMA85, of Kaneohe, was called to eternal rest on April 13, 2019. He was born in Honolulu on Sept. 28, 1933 and grew up on Molokai'i. After graduating from Lahainaluna, he became a proud Marine, serving from 1952-1955. He saw combat in Korea with the 1st Marine Division. He completed his BS at UH Manoa, then worked for the City and County of Honolulu, retiring in 1994. David is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Cheryl; sons, Mitchell and Chad (Andrea); daughters, Chanda Ahokovi (Hessy), and Cherise Stalcup (Noah); and 7 grandchildren. A Celebration of Life will be held at Kailua United Methodist Church on Saturday, June 1, 2019. Visitation: 4 pm, Service: 5 pm, Reception to follow.

ISAMU ISOBE88, of Wahiawa, passed away peacefully at Kaiser Permanente Moanalua Medical Center on April 2, 2019. He was born in Robinson Camp Hawaii on April 20, 1930. He attended Kipapa Elementary School and graduated from Leilehua High School in 1948. He was drafted into the U.S. Army, serving as a mess sergeant during the Vietnam and Korean Wars. After 20 years of service in the Army, he retired and became a cook and baker at Turtle Bay Hotel. His hobbies included gardening, fishing, and going to Las Vegas. He is survived by his wife, Ruth Isobe; sons, Earl S. Isobe and Dean I. Isobe; brothers, Yoshio and Sadao Isobe; sister, Shizuko Hisamoto; and many nephews and nieces. Warm appreciation to the staff of Kaiser Hospital Moanalua for their caring and support given to Isamu and his family. Services on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at Mililani Memorial Park and Mortuary, Mauka Chapel. Visitation 9:00 a.m.; Services 10:00 a.m. Inurnment and Honor Guard Services 11:30 a.m. Casual attire.
