89, passed away peacefully with her family around her at Tripler Army Medical Center on August 13, 2018. She was born on September 3, 1928 in Waipunalei, Hawaii, the seventh of nine children to Waichi and Hana Kodani Nagakane. After graduating from Hilo High School, she came to Honolulu to attend Beauty School. While working at Hickam Base Exchange she met her husband Jim who she followed when he was transferred to Japan. They got married at the American Embassy of Tokyo and started their family. She loved the Air Force life for the opportunities, experiences and travel it gave her family. But also for the life long friendships and memories it brought her. She is preceded in death by her parents, loving husband Jim, brothers Mitsugi Tom Nagakane, Hiromu Herbert Nagakane, sisters Ayako Violet Egawa, Fumie Doris Sonomura. She is survived by daughter Debra, sons Dean (Linda), Derek (Sharaine), sisters Yachiyo Lily Sugai, Miyuki Betty (Raymond) Koizumi, Hanae Nancy Pang, Sumie Marian Kaneko, numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation: 5pm, Services 6pm on Friday, September 14, 2018 at Hosoi Garden Mortuary. Inurnment at 2pm on Monday, September 17, 2018 at National Memorial Park Cemetery of the Pacific at Punchbowl. Of Eleele, passed away at Garden Isle Rehab. Healthcare Ctr. on 7/21/18 at 94 years old! He was born in Kukuiula on March 2, second child of Eimatsu and Hideyo Ishida Hashimura. He was preceded in death by his wife Asano Funamura Hashimura, older brother Katsumi, and sister Doris Fuyuko Hironaka. He was a corporal in the 442nd RCT during WWII, earning a Purple Heart and Bronze Star, and retired from McBryde Sugar Co. He is survived by son Gene (Marie), daughters Deborah Hashimura and Sandra Takizawa, 2 grand- sons, 2 great-granddaughters, brother Hiroki (Kim Yuk "Yuki"), sisters Nancy Kimie (Wallace) Nakamoto and Helen Fujimoto, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation 9 - 9:45 am followed by services at 10 on Sat., Sept. 15 at Hanapepe Hongwanji Mission. Military honors inurnment will be at 2:30 pm at Kauai Veteran's Cemetery.

81, passed away on Friday, August 3, 2018, at his care home in Waipahu, Hawaii. Charley was born to Henry Lee and Beatrice Jones on January 14, 1937, in Mooringsport, Louisiana. After serving 20 years in the United States Air Force, Charley worked as a skycap at United Airlines until his retirement in the early 2000's. He returned to Hawaii in 2011 where he re-committed his life to the Lord, submitted to baptism and served as a member of the Immanuel Missionary Baptist Church in Wahiawa. Charley is preceded in death by his sister, Beatrice Douglas, of Shreveport, LA. He is survived by six children: Charles "Andy" (Bonnie) of Mililani; Robert "Bob" (Genevieve) of Walnut Creek, CA.; Barbara "Barbie" Kabasawa (Keith) of Waipahu; Taisei (Melissa) of Wahiawa; Kenji (Anna) of Kapolei; and Ikaika of Chicago, IL.; hanai brother, Sam Hooker of Kansas City, MO., and nieces and nephews. Memorial Services will be on Thursday, September 13, 2018 at the Downtown Mililani Mortuary (20 S. Kukui St.). Visitation: 9:00 a.m.; Service: 9:30 a.m.; Lunch: 11:00 a.m.; Interment: 1:00 p.m. at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific at Punchbowl. No flowers, please.

Gail Fung Lin KelleyGail Fung Lin Kelley, 63, died 10th August 2018 at her home in Honolulu. Her funeral service will be held Friday, September 14th at Diamond Head Mortuary. Visitation for the public will be from 10:00-11:00am. Services start at 11 and lunch will be served at 12:00. She will be inurned at 12:30 with her son BJ Kelley who passed in 1991 at age 10. Gail's sister, Elaine Pomaikai, also passed this year on July 28th. Elaine was born September 09, 1945 in Honolulu. We will be doing Elaine's inurnment at the same time. Gail was born on 26th November, 1954 in Honolulu, Hawaii to Mary and Clarence Lee. Shortly after graduating from Kaimuki High School in 1972, she married Willam Kelley on June 17 of the same year. Gail worked at AIG Insurance for 25 years and was Supervisor of the IT department. Gail was a very good cook but especially loved for her red velvet cake. Gail loved her family very much and will be remembered and adorned not only from her children, but her nieces and nephews. She will be lovingly survived by her husband William Kelley, Sister Kuulei Stalcup (sp. Stephen Stalcup), Lilian Kelley, Brother-in-law Kelly Brezina, Brother Lucky Kekahio, daughters Kimberlee Kelley and Jennifer Estebar (sp. Mark Estebar), 5 grandchildren Malia & Jaydalin (twins 11), Kaimana (9), Michael & Jennalee (twins 8). Arrangements Provided By: Diamond Head Mortuary
