Pediatric Dentist of Kailua was born on September 5, 1940, in Waialua, O'ahu. He graduated from Hawaiian Mission Academy in 1959 and attended Walla Walla College (University) in Washington. In 1967 he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Loma Linda University in California and received his commission in the U.S. Air Force after graduation. In 1975, Dr. Kim returned to Hawai'i and opened his pediatric dental practice in Kailua. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Audrey; son David (Deann); daughters Julie and Maile (Bren Chun); 2 grandsons; brothers Paul (Ann), Arthur, and Andrew; sisters Rhoda Lau and Kathy. A celebration of his life will be held on May 21, 2017, at the Honolulu Japanese SDA Church. In loving memory of Dale Richard Hoffmann born on May 20, 1936 in Denver, Colorado. He died peacefully at his home due to complications from ALS on May 11, 2017 in Honolulu, Hawaii. He encouraged us to live simply, to help others and to realize our potential in making this world a better place for all. He walked daily, ran often and rode his bicycle all over the world. He laughed, he sang, he played his guitar, harmonica and flute. He absolutely loved his family and friends. He is survived by his former wife and best friend, Jill Jameson, his son Derek and daughter-in-law Lori, his daughter Laura and son-in-law Mark Clark, his son Craig and daughter-in-law Jessica, as well as his 5 grandchildren Kirsten, Sara and Kelia Clark, Grace and Josiah Hoffmann. Memorial Service on Monday, May 22, 6:30pm at Calvary by the Sea in Aina Haina.
