Mary Isabelle Vierra Fellion
MARY ISABELLE VIERRA FELLION Mary Isabelle Vierra Fellion, 79, of New Castle, PA, formerly of Kaneohe, Hawaii, passed away the evening of Sunday, April 10, 2016. Mrs. Fellion was born on April 1, 1937, in Kamuela, Hawaii, a daughter of the late Antone and Mary Francis Braz Vierra. She was a 1955 graduate of Castle High School, in Kaneohe, Oahu. Mary retired as an optometrist assistant from the office of Dr. Joseph L. Moretto. Mary was a devoted member of Mary, Mother of Hope Parish, St. Mary's Church, where she was a former CCD instructor, a longtime member of the Blue Army of Our Lady of Fatima and a member of PCUC. Also, she actively supported many charities, including Toys for Tots, Wounded Warriors, Disable Veterans, Salesian Maissions, Our Lady of Lebanon and Our Lady of Fatima. Above all else, Mary was a loving wife, mother and grandmother to her family. She is survived by her husband, Robert L. Fellion, whom she married on Nov. 25, 1956, three daughters, Kathleen Fellion of Boulder City, Nevada; and Laura (Brett) Fellion-Zasadni and Elizabeth (Michael) Lansheak, both of New Castle, PA; four sons, Patrick (Christine) Fellion, Michael (Pamela) Fellion, Jonathan Fellion and Carl (Elaine) Fellion, all of New Castle, PA; 10 grandchildren; and a great- grandchild. Mary was preceded in death by her parents. A viewing was held on Wednesday, April 13, 2016, at J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home in New Castle, PA. The following morning a Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at St. Mary's Church by the Rev. Frank Almade, pastor. A procession then followed, taking Mary to the Madonna Cemetery where she was buried.
