Patricia Smith Rice, 102, of Kipu, Kauai, president of William Hyde Rice Ltd. and a rancher, died at home. She was born in Brush, Colo. She is survived by son Robin. Celebration of life: 10 a.m. Nov. 12 at Borthwick Kauai Mortuary.
