Willard James Rapoza Jr., 48, of Kamuela, Hawaii, a heavy equipment operator, welder and general laborer and head football coach for the Pop Warner Cowboys in Waimea, will be remembered in a celebration of life 10 a.m. Nov. 8 at Puuanahulu RecreationalCenter, 71-1449 Mamalahoa Highway. He died in Kona Community Hospital. He was born in Kealakekua, Hawaii. He is survived by companion Michalene Carbone; sonWacey; parents Kathleen K. and Willard Sr.; sister Maileann; hanai brothers Kimo Duarte, Geno Glaser, Iwa Kalua, Pat Close, Leonard Angay, David Hao, and Analu, Bruce and Robert Richards; hanai sisters Rebecca Kay-Akana, Mary Ann Tremaine, and Lynn and Lana Angay; grandmother Virginia; and a grandchild. Visitation: 9 a.m. Nov. 8. Casual attire.
