BETTY MICHIKO TOMA Age 92, passed away peacefully at Manoa Cottage-Kaimuki on November 5, 2015. She was born in Honokaa, Hawaii. After retiring from Saga Food Services on the University of Hawaii campus, she enjoyed retirement going to her ukulele, sing-a-long, and craft classes at Kapahulu Senior Center. As an avid UH fan, she attended football and volleyball home games with her family. She is survived by daughters, Sandra (Charles) Ching and Linda Toma; son, Darrell (Cathy) Toma; granddaughter Tracy (Russell) Chu; great grandsons, Landon and Bryce Chu; brother, Roy (Rose) Kaneshiro; sisters, Mildred Hoshino and Bessie Higa; brother-in-law Richard Shimabukuro; sister-in-law Okai Kaneshiro. PATSY LEW LUM Age 86, of Honolulu, Hawaii, passed away on November 1, 2015. Patsy was born in Nanking, China, and graduated from Bradley University in Peoria, IL. She was a retired Realtor, and the founder of Plum Associates, Inc. in Honolulu. She was passionate about family and friends, travel, Korean soap operas, mahjong, ballroom dancing, her tanomoshi lunch club, Community Church of Honolulu, and playing competitive bridge. In 2014, she achieved the rank of Diamond Life Master from the American Contract Bridge League. Patsy is survived by her husband, Thomas C.H. Lum; son, Larry (Lisa) Tong; daughter, Allison Lum; brother, Doug (Linda) Lew of Edina, MN; sister, Betty Ting of Bellevue, WA; and grand- daughter, Casey Tong. A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 4, at 11:00 a.m. at the Community Church of Honolulu, 2345 Nuuanu Avenue in Honolulu. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m. An inurnment will follow the services at 2:00 p.m. at the National Cemetery of the Pacific, 2177 Puowaina Drive in Honolulu. Flowers are welcome.
