He is also survived by in-laws James & JoAnn, Brian, Eileen, Glenn (dec'd) & Corinne Nakamoto; Lynette & James Nerney; 7 nephews and 3 nieces. He was tour director at Hawaii Travel Bureau, and owner of Honolulu Typewriter Co. Graduated from UH in business and Punahou. In his youth he was active in the Boy Scouts Troop 13 achieving Eagle Silver Palm badges. He served with the U.S. Army Medical Corps in Korea. Recently he led the Tai Chi class as a certified Tai Chi arthritis instructor at Leeward YMCA and at Kalakaua gym. Visitation at 11 am, funeral at noon, Friday, Jan 30 at Borthwick Mortuary, 1933 Maunakea St. Burial to follow at Hawaiian Memorial Park Cemetery with honor guard.

BENJAMIN T. KIMURA Dec. 14, 2014 Benjamin Kimura, a good father, a good husband, a good friend and a good man, died at age 87. Ben was born in Honolulu, and was resident of San Jose, CA. Among his many passions were his family, Buddhism, philosophy, physics, trekking in the Himalayas, judo, raising chickens, quail and discus fish, and sharing with friends and neighbors, the bountiful fruits from trees he planted in his back yard. Survived by his wife Gladys, sons Greg, Matt and Steve, and granddaughters Camden and Bryn. Graveside services at National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Friday, Jan. 23, @ 11:30 am Sec.
