Chauncey Wesley Kam63, of Kaneohe, Hawai'i died on Friday, February 15, 2019 in Lihue, Kaua'i. Chauncey was born in Honolulu to Thomas & Annabelle Kam on February 10, 1956. He graduated from St. Louis High School in 1974. He worked for Kam's Express Trucking for over 25 years. Chauncey was a true waterman; he surfed, water-skied, paddled, and was an expert fisherman. He will be forever in our hearts. Chauncey is preceded in death by (parents) Thomas W.K. Kam, Annabelle Pa Kam, & (sister) Joann Kam. Chauncey is survived by daughters Beth "Kaleikaimana" Kam and Jessica "Hulali" Kam, brothers Wendell, Thomas, Abraham, Christopher, & Gaylord Kam; along with many nieces and nephews. Services: 3:30pm on Sunday, March 17 Borthwick Mortuary Maunakea Chapel. Burial: 1:00pm on Monday, March 18 at Hawaiian Memorial Park Cemetery.

Kiyooko V. SproatKiyooko Victoria Sproat, 87, of Kailua, Hawai'i passed away March 1, 2019. She was born December 27, 1931 in Pohnpei, Federated States of Micronesia to the late Giju Moriyama and Daisy Nanpei. Kiyooko and Emanuel married on May 24, 1952 in Pohnpei Micronesia and they lived in Kailua. She was a homemaker, dedicating her time to her family as well as the community. Kiyooko was involved with the Kailua Seniors, the Pali Seniors, and was a Choral Group Leader. She was awarded the Valentine Sweet Heart. She won numerous awards and was voted by her club members to be recognized by the Mayor and city and county, for her extensive volunteer work. Kiyooko had many talents: wood work, crafting, sewing, lei making and raising orchids for which she won awards for. She loved Hawn Music along with playing the ukulele, singing and dancing all things Hawn. She donated her time and service to teaching and sharing her many skills. Along with donating baby caps she knitted yearly to hospitals. "Everything our mother attempted she would exceed all expectations". Kiyooko is predeceased by her husband, Emanuel N. Sproat. She is survived by her two daughters Daisy and Evonne, her son John, her granddaughter Amy, and her two great-grandchildren Connor and Aras. A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at Valley of the Temples Trousdale Chapel. Visitation will be at 10:30am, with service at 11:00am, and luncheon to follow. 63, formerly from Kapolei, HI passed peacefully, amidst family members, on 1/5/19 at Porter Hospice, in Colorado. Survived by his mother, Anne Nakamura, wife, Lucille, and sons, Kekoaalii, Dustin, Keli, and Alika. Daughter Nicole (Jayson) Hariuchi. Other survivors include siblings, Dianne (Frank) Tabata, Ashley (Adele), and Jerry (Nancy) Nakamura. Step-children: Dani Katrice Ekahilani (Santo II) Ruiz, and Darice Elualani (Edward) Apo; 16 Grandchildren and 2 Great-grandchildren. Miles was stationed at Hickam AFB with the 154th Wing and retired from Hawaii Air National Guard in 2015 after 36 years of service. As an Air craft mechanic, he crewed on multiple airframes, such as C-130s and C-17s. He and Lucille were also foster parents with the Dept of Human Services for 14 years. Services will be held on Saturday, 3/16/19, at Bishop Memorial Chapel of the Kamehameha Schools. Visitation 1 2 pm; Services 2 3 PM. Burial at National Memorial Cemetery, Punchbowl, on Monday 3/18/19 at 1PM. Casual attire.
