He moved his family to San Francisco, where he lived for 25 years working for Japan Airlines and Federal Express. He transferred back to Oahu and retired with Federal Express. He was preceded by wife, Evelyn and survived by his children Nadine (Chris) Knedel, Lance (Amy), Derrick, Owen (Cara) and 10 grandchildren; sisters Kay Tanaka and Shirley Moriki.
