She was born on September 26, 1922 in Denver Colorado and worked as the office manager for her husband's dental office. She is preceded in death & now reunited with husband Masaru Kurashima. Josephine is survived by sons: Michael (Aileen), Tim (Rita), Jeff (Audrey), John (Mona); daughters: Pat Uesugi (Bill), Mary Janet "Maja" Jones (Jim); 11 Grandchildren & 8 Great-Grandchildren. Christine Leilani WilcoxChristine Leilani Wilcox passed away August 17, 2017 after a brave fight with cancer; her husband, Ricky Wilcox, of twenty-six years was right by her side. She was born on September 9, 1965 in Honolulu, Hawaii to Henry L. and Esther E. Williams and spent most of her childhood in Ewa Beach. She graduated from James Campbell High School in 1983. Prior to pursuing higher education, she worked at The Old Spaghetti Factory, Hilton Hawaiian Village, The Black Orchid, and World Caf. She received her Bachelor of Education from UH Manoa in 2003 and began teaching English at Nanakuli High School later that year. She earned her Master of Arts in Education in 2008. Christine enjoyed participating in Yoga and Zumba at Impact Fitness Ohana and has a special love for her sisters there. She radiated physical beauty! The people in her life were touched by her kindness, warmth, big heart, and loving spirit. Her family is everything to her. She is survived by husband Ricky K. Wilcox; daughter Lena Ann Sullivan; son Kanealii (Tayzha) Wilcox; daughter Vraunwyn (Brian) Denny; son Sorin Wilcox; mother Esther Fernandes; brothers Henry (Stephanie) Williams, Dennis (Kimi) Maele, Clifford (Tricia) Williams, Koa (Laurie) Maele, Duke Maele and Bronson (Laverne) Maele; sisters Dorothea (Robert) Kaapana, Phoebe (Clifton) Sato, Tabitha (Kyle) Mizuno; grandchildren Loralei and Logan, and fur-baby, Ziggy. Services will be held on Sunday, October 15th at Mililani Mortuary, Mauka Chapel, Visitation: 5:30 p.m.; Services: 6:30 p.m. ~ May we experience glimpses of you in every Sunrise and Sunset. She was a writer and also worked as a Senior Elections Clerk for the City and County of Honolulu. She died suddenly after suffering a severe seizure in her sleep. Known to family & close friends as "Tiare", everything she did, she did for her family, she was a loving & loyal friend that always had a smile on her face. She was hilarious, always making those around her laugh. Tiare was also a gifted writer, successfully publishing two books. Beautiful on the inside & out, She will be sorely missed by anyone that ever had the privilege of knowing her. She is survived by Muriel Beaver Marques (Mother - Deceased), John B. Marques (Father), Christian Matimo Tuairau (Brother), Manute'a Tuairau (Brother). A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, October 20th, 2017 from 9-12 @ 55-630 Naniloa Loop, Laie, HI 96762. PHYLLIS RAMELB CONSTANTINO95, of Ewa Beach, passed away September 19, 2017, at Kaiser Permanente Moanalua Medical Center. She was preceded in death by Venancio, her beloved husband of 64 years, and by son Norman. She is survived by brothers Liborio and Benjamin (Marian), daughter Gloria (Dan), grandson Peter, granddaughter Erin (Ray), and great-granddaughter Mika Boylan LaFleur. The daughter of immigrant sugar workers, Phyllis left Kahuku High School at 15 to help her family care for five younger siblings. Her sacrifice helped them to earn degrees in law, engineering, nursing, and education. Each year a Scholarship under the name of Ben and Phyllis Constantino is given to a Campbell High School graduate who attended Ewa Elementary School. She was also "Aunty Manang" to dozens of nieces and nephews, celebrated for her meals, her always full cookie jar, and her immaculately clean house. She grew red ginger and ferns, loved to crochet dish scrubbies, watched MSNBC and was a solid doubles partner on the tennis court well into her 80's. Phyllis worked for many years as supervisor of the Officers' Club Snack Bar at Barber's Point Naval Air Station. Services will be held Wednesday, October 18, at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, 1525 Waimano Home Road, Pearl City. Visitation will begin at 9:30 followed by Eulogy and Song at 10:30 and Mass at 11. Lunch will be served following Mass. Aloha attire. Interment at Mililani Mortuary Park at 1:30 pm.
