Dorothy Chang Meadows of Honolulu passed away peacefully at Hale Ho Aloha Care Home on August 13, 2017. She was born on January 5, 1918 in Honolulu, Hawaii. She retired as a secretary for the US Navy. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Walter Meadows, Jr; her parents, Chang Hook & Wong Sam; her brother, Henry Chang; her sisters, Mabel Pang, Pearl Ferwerda, & Violet King; and son-in-law, Terry Wong. She is survived by her daughters, Eleanora Wong and Patricia (Alfred) Ho, hanai son, Harold Ferwerda; 6 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be held at Borthwick Mortuary (Mauka chapel) on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 with visitation at 10:15 a.m. and services at 10:45 a.m. Inurnment will be at Punchbowl Cemetery at 1 p.m. and lunch to follow at Nice Day Restaurant.
