HELEN CARTER WEISS
Age 97 of Kaneohe passed away peacefully on November 17, 2016. After her birth in Kaimuki on February 14, 1919, she graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1936. She then went on to graduate from the University of Michigan and became a medical technician working at Queen's Hospital. She shared stories of her experience of being called to work on December 7, 1941, where she worked many long days typing and testing the blood from donors. From 1989 until her death, she was a General Partner of Carter Investments. Her husband Eric A. Weiss died on September 4, 2016. She is survived by her son Carter and daughter-in-law Regina of New York City and her sister Billie Carter Nelson of Kailua. A private Celebration of Life will be held on December 24, which would have been her 75th wedding anniversary.
