$nameSUSAN VICTORIA DUNBAR 'SUSIE' Susan Victoria Dunbar 'Susie' Sept 18,1956 - Nov. 23, 2015. Daughter of Captain John P. Dunbar (USN RET) and Vilma E. Dunbar (both deceased). Preceded in death by two sisters, Lynn and Marie; survived by two brothers John and Glen from Maui, sister Elaine and husband Leland from Kauai, Hawaii, former companion Trula Kazaitis, Dr. and Mrs. John McLeay of Nebraska and numerous family members in Nebraska and Massachusetts. Susie was a photographer, poet and occasionally sang at Canlis Restaurant in Waikiki. A dedicated volunteer at Queens Hospital for nearly four years she brought flowers to recovering patients and on her own, visited sick or terminally ill patients. Susie was loved by many volunteers and patients at the Queens Hospital, as well, by many long time friends. Her extraordinary compassion for the poor and homeless led to distributing much of her small monthly income to people in need. Dearest Susan, may the angels greet you, come to meet you, and escort you into Paradise. Mass will be celebrated at St. Augustine by the Sea Catholic Church, 130 Ohua Avenue, Waikiki at 5PM on Tuesday December 15, 2015. Following Mass family will visit with friends.
