Verna Lay, 70, of Pahoa, Hawaii, an accountant, died in the Queen’s Medical Center. She was born in Honolulu. She is survived by husband John; son Morris Kaneshige Jr.; daughter Marian Asato; brothers Cecil K., Adriano and Michael Namocot; sister Felicidad Birch; and two grandchildren. Private services.
